"I call on Senator Obama to call on Congress to come back into town and come back to work," he [Senator McCain] said. "Come off their recess. Come off their vacation and address this energy crisis for America and don't leave until you do. Republican and Democrat joining together. And a very vital part of that is nuclear power. And another vital part of that is offshore drilling."
Yes, if there's a Senator who should chide Congress on not getting work done, it's JohnMcCain.
How long has McCain been in the Senate? Where's our rational energy policy? But, yeah, calling Congress back into session and passing a more drilling and more nukes bill will solve all our problems. Ten years from now. For about five more years after that. Whatever.
Then I call on Senator Obama to call on Senator "No Show" McCain to call on Congress to come back into town and come back to work." "Let's drill for oil in the backyards of each of my 14 homes and then let's drill for oil in West Palm Beach, especially in Rush and Ann's backyards!"
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

Looks like a staged, pre-presidential move on McCain's part. If congress gets off their beach blankets and stuff their fat bellies back in their britches in time to get back to work (meaning, pass off shore drilling legislation, and, devote a pittance 15 billion$$ towards renewable, alternative energies. Don't we spend that much in a couple days in Iraq and Afghanistan?), then, the American public gets to see that lawmakers do respond to Republicans because they work well, together and get things done. Very impressive, eh?
Thanks for your support, Barrak. Let's see you drill your way out of this piece of legislation fallout. Refucklicans will smile in your face as you sign on the line and will stab you in the back with it, come November. Mark my word.
Why is McCain constantly lecturing Obama like a never satisfied father? (Or maybe a Jewish mother.)

I call for Senator McBuzzkill to repay the people, or their survivors, the money he and Charles Keating stole from them.
Just sayin'.

Even funnier than McCain: the Republicans who have stayed in Washington to "work" (give speeches to an empty Congress) are claiming they are bringing about lower oil prices.
These people should be doing stand-up.

I'd rather be cycling.
I seem to remember a month or so ago when the McCain camp was chiding Obama for missing an 'important' vote while out campaigning.
Then some pain-in-the-ass blogger pointed out that McCain had missed the same vote.
I'm getting a bit long in the tooth and forgetful myself, but I'm not asking anybody to put my wrinkled old finger on the red button.
