Mmmmmmm!
Don't forget the cobbler.
We have a small blackberry
We have a small blackberry patch out back. You inspired me to pick a few, which is all we have. They were mostly small and tart.

Leon was complaining that he could never make a cobbler as good as his mother's. His sister will be visiting from Ohio in about two weeks so he planned to freeze enough for her to make one.
I only got to taste one of the berries but it was very sweet. He called yesterday afternoon to tell me he could hear jar lids popping every few minutes. I know I'll get a jar of the jam (and a bottle of the wine).
We were at the farm last week and one of Dennis' young goats had escaped into the blackberries. They are more fond of the bushes than the berries, but there was havoc none the less.
